New Zealand Sights That Made It Into My Photo Book

New Zealand is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, filled with wonderful mountain ranges and serene lakes that perfectly reflect the landscapes. During my time travelling to Aotearoa, I was able to capture some wonderful landscapes and place them into my photo books to give me long-lasting memories. These were a combination of mountain ranges, water-side views and unique architecture that I couldn’t find anywhere else.

In this guide, I’m going to speak to you about some of the best scenic locations of New Zealand that I managed to capture. Continue reading to learn more.

New Zealand Photo Book Captures

Mount Cook & Lake Pukaki

New Zealand’s tallest mountain reflected against the vivid turquoise waters of Lake Pukaki. I got shots of these from multiple angles with the lake reflecting all of the surroundings wonderfully, with some of myself with the backdrop. As one of the main spots I wanted to visit, it didn’t disappoint and made for some of the best photographs I’ve ever taken.

Milford Sound

Talk about breathing with this one. Perhaps the most beautiful location I’ve ever seen with my eyes, it transferred great to the camera. If you Google the location, you can see for yourself just how amazing the photographs can be. Luckily, I was able to capture similar photos for my books, which I was very pleased with.

That Wānaka Tree

The most iconic tree in New Zealand sits on the southern end of Lake Wānak and makes for a lovely photograph to include in any photo book. I was able to capture it with the mountain range sitting behind it, adding to the aesthetic. My photograph was taken at sunrise, but I was unfortunately unable to capture it at sunset.

Cathedral Cove

Famous for being the lockscreen of many PCs and laptops all over the world, this iconic location is a cove that always makes for wonderful photographs. You definitely would have seen it before, with many images of it taken from inside the cove looking out onto the sea. The most famous one sees the rock through the cove.

Wharariki Beach

This windswept beach is located on the northern tip of the South Island of New Zealand, near Cape Farewell and Golden Bay. Wow, the photos I took here were actually breathtaking! Whether the tide is in or out, this beach has sand that shines thanks to the sea water and has several coves to take photos from.

Lake Tekapo & Church of the Good Shepherd

The Church of the Good Shepherd is a historic stone chapel located on the shores of Lake Tekapo on the South Island of New Zealand. This was something completely different from the previous pics, as the church sat beautifully on the coast and green shrubbery.

Hobbiton

Designed to be the The Lord of the Ring’s movie set, visitors can have a tour and take some fun pics. It’s actually like the movies, so you’re in for an authentic experience!
