Anyone who follows their Facebook page will know that women are raving about the trips they have done with Womens Adventures NZ
Debbie Goldingham has built a fabulous network of women who love and adventure. Many trips are day trips from Auckland, so excellent for those who live there – canyoning, fishing kayaking…
Don’t feel left out if you do not live in Auckland!
There are also trips to Great Barrier Island, Stewart Island, Cycling trips in the South Island – the Wilderness Trail and the Alps to Ocean. And some great trips beyond NZ shores – to Vietnam and Samoa are regulars.
Womens Adventures NZ is one of the wonderful women’s tour companies that can be found on Women Travel the World – www.womentravel.info Their tours can be found among hundreds of other trips around the world on the Women Travel Tour Calendar on that site.
If you are visiting New Zealand, it is worth checking their trips to see if you can fit one in – a great way to meet local women and have a great kiwi adventure.
I am trying to find a fishing charter that kinda specialises for woman in nz.. or maybe woman owned and operated.
You could try these folk https://womentravel.info/tour-company/wildside-adventures-east-coast-of-north-island/ they are based on the east coast of North island
Hello,
I’m finally visiting NZ! From NY.
I will stay for awhile at the Women’s Retreat in Piha Beach for a week.
I am an avid swimmer but I need calm waters— not rough surf.
Where can I go where it is calm. Bodies of water— sounds in general — are calm waters.
Any help.
Thanks so much.
Hi Lisa, what time of year do you mean? While the west coast (Piha) of Auckland is rough, the east coast and especially the harbour is not. Generally this is true – west coast wilder, east coast more gentle, harbours and lakes easy swimming. Also depends sometimes on the wind – so sheltered areas of course better. I love the east coast north of Auckland – Waipu, Uretiti beach In summer most main beaches have surf patrols, so swimming between the flags is safer – they keep an eye on you. Two women friends run this lovey B&B at Mangawhai https://www.dreamtides.co.nz/ The water is warmest late summer early autumn. It is rarely warm enough for me to swim in South Island – though many do! \
I also recommend https://www.sidetrackswomen.co.nz/ Cycling is hot in NZ – fabulous cycleways Hope that helps – enjoy your trip
