Toi Kari Retreat is a boutique garden studio located near the peaceful waters’ edge in beautiful Lorenzen Bay New Zealand.
Raglan is a small coastal town on the west coast of New Zealand, 2 hours south of Auckland, renowned for its surf, beaches, harbour, volcano, waterfall, great cafes, artisan shops, artists, health and wellbeing practitioners and sustainability.
Long -time Raglan residents, Rachael and Cheryl, have spent a year lovingly and creatively renovating Toi Kari with native timbers, upcycled handmade furniture and carefully made or selected artworks. The studio is quiet and peaceful, located in their rear garden, edged by bush, and has a small patio and view of the harbour.
Toi Kari Retreat contains all the things you need to relax and unwind. Breakfast on your first morning is prepared from local produce: local honey, local homemade jam, Cheryl’s famous home-made cheeses, Dreamview Creamery milk in glass bottles, and fresh Raglan Artisan sourdough bread.
Kayaks and lifejackets are available for a trip around the bay, with the harbour entrance a stroll away from Toi Kari Retreat. Rachael and Cheryl both work in the environmental and sustainability space and their studio is great example of an upcycled sustainability project, made and curated by women for women.
