We have had a wonderful group of people here this Summer. It all began on Christmas Day before our dinner, when we enjoyed having nibbles on the deck of Christine’s house on the Piha hill.
Te Wahi Ora is a great place for a holiday! Swimming is still possible, picnics are provided, long and short walks are possible – a different one each day – there’s fun with friends and even a Harley Davidson! |
|
- Others came to Te Wahi Ora for a Retreat. Perhaps to do some inner healing from past or present trauma
- Two Wwoofers came(willing workers on organic farms) – not that we call ourselves a farm – but there is always gardening to do;
- others wrote of their holiday, “I feel empowered and strengthened” and another, “Te Wahi Ora is definitely a place of healing”.
- A group who come every year pronouced last month’s visit, “the best yet”

And perhaps the most loved of all, our regulars! Women, who have kept coming, bringing with them their developing and deepening Selves, and thereby contributing immensely to Te Wahi Ora’s special energy.
To all of you who have enlived Te Wahi Ora this summer with your fun, wisdom and insights, thank you. Te Wahi Ora needs you if it is to continue to be an effective retreat for women.
And those changes at Te Wahi Ora, I mentioned …….? |
|
Well, Hua is spending more time ‘off shore’ with a keen yatchsman! Jacqui has moved into her own place and Susan has moved to Henderson, yet they managed a holiday before returning to work! And horrors, Karen has become a Gluten Free Vegan for health reasons!
So if you have those same needs do come and stay at Te Wahi Ora from Tuesdays – Fridays when Karen is on duty. She’s the expert at catering for Vegans and Gluten Free!
Also Suzanne and Dana are giving Te Wahi Ora their time two days a week, so we have an increasing number of hostesses keen to make your visit to Te Wahi Ora a culinary delight as well as personally satisfying. |
|
Now, what are we able to offer you in the way of costs this year?
Well, inspite of the ‘economic situation’ we are going to hold our $125.00 per 24 hours for as long as we can. The proposed GST increase may catch us out, but we will do our best.
Our ‘special rate’ for those needing it, is going to apply to the Monday – Friday accommodation. (There are a few weekends where this ‘special rate’ applies so it would be worth you checking it out.)
THEREFORE …..a booking for the five days from
Monday through to Friday will cost $350.00 i.e. $70 per day!

A Great Gift Idea
We are delighted at the number of people who are giving accommodation gift vouchers for a stay at Te Wahi Ora to friends and husbands to their wives, because what better gift could they give! |
|
Finally…..
Remember, the ‘spiritual/developmental’ process of our inner ‘self’ is on-going. It’s aim is the fullness of our purpose, meaning and value in life. It can be quite a journey! But it is not a journey that we need to take alone. Do make sure you have all the support, inspiration and encouragement you need. And remember Te Wahi Ora actually means “a place to belong to while moving into wholeness”. Perhaps we can help.
Also, we need fruit for stewing to grace our breakfast menu. Anyone with apple trees or Fijoas or figs – or lemons and grapefruit as the season progresses. Do let us know as we would love to have fresh fruit off the trees! |
