In New Zealand we drive on the left hand side of the road – like the UK, India, South Africa and a few more – see them here
If you are not used to driving on the left – here are some resources to help
- Take a Driver QUIZ: Detailed tourist/visitor driving quiz in English, Spanish, Chinese, German and French Here This is a great little interactive quiz – giving you feedback and answers, and an explanation.
- NZ Driving Rules: NZTA brochure covering basic rules in 10 languages Here

Need a GPS?
Used to driving on the left, hiring a car from Las Vegas to Los Angeles International Airport was a challenge. Getting a GPS saved us – helped us get on the right highway and when into the huge motorways of LA, helped us to get in the correct lane. A GPS or a smart phone with enough data is a MUST.
