It is Official Kevin from Dante’s Pizzeria in the lane at Ponsonby Central makes the best Margherita Pizza in New Zealand.
Ponsonby Central and it’s group of funky shops is one of my favourite shops on what is definately my favourite road in Auckland.
Dante’s Pizza is authentic Napolese Pizza – it is the first pizzeria in New Zealand to receive membership into the prestigious culinary institute Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (VPN).
This is not Pizza like New Zealand is used to, this is Pizza as only Italians know – lovingly hand crafted and cooked to perfection in a brick oven in less than 90 seconds.
English born Kevin makes seriously good pizzas and is looking forward to taking on the Italians at their own game when he flies to Parma Italy to represent NZ in the world finals in April.
